I am honored to once again be in the International Art of the Book Show at the Rochester Public Library. My flag book with eco-prints and cyanotypes will be on exhibit and for sale. Reception and award ceremony will be in Sept.
New England Book Artists presents Building books 3 at the Mark Twain Library in CT. My piece is titled “Tsundoko” or the habit of collecting books and letting them pile up, while still cherishing the possibility of reading them one day.
Cyanotypes and Eco-prints will hang in the Hallway Gallery at the Senior center for 2 months. Opening reception will be Friday, July 11 from 5:00-7:00pm. All art is for sale as well as display.
The artist book called “Hidden Images” will be on exhibition at View Arts Center in Old Forge, NY. Eco-print pamphlets are sewn into the valleys of an accordion book .Opening reception is May 23 from 5:00-7:00.
The Fourth Annual Accordion Book Art Show is taking place at the Camden, Maine Public Library in the Picker Room Gallery. This is organized by Amy Hand. I am sending an accordion that has eco - prints attached to the small 1 inch accordion pages.
“Happiness in my Garden” cyanotype will hang at the gallery at 33 Hawley St. The opening is April 11, 5:00-8:00 and fundraiser will be April 26th.
Artist book called “Tea Bags” will be on exhibition at Craft Alliance in St. Louis in the Staenberg Gallery It is an accordion book with cyanotype tea bag prints. Reception date 3/21 6-9pm. Go to the Craft Alliance website for other events.
“Rituals allow us to connect with the world around us.” This statement inspired me to make an artist book called “Toshikoshi Soba” - Japanese New Year’s ritual. The book is a pocket accordion. the exhibition will be on view at Baylor University.

The 12th annual Small Works show will be at Hope and Feathers Framing in Northampton. Affordable 6x6 and 5x7 works will be shown. I have 2 eco-prints that will be on the walls. Opening reception and chocolate party will be Friday, February 14th, 5-7:30. My 2 works are “Hydrangea and Summer Flowers”

Accordion book titled “Impermanence” will show at Gallery A-3 in Amherst, MA in August. The accordion book has eco-prints and cyanotypes (the impermanence of plants) and fragile handmade papers. The opening will be August 1st from 5-8. The juror is Maria Timina from Amherst college.
Abecedarian Artist’s Books presents “Pulp to Pages” in Denver, CO. Included is Laurel’s “Panorama Book with Hand-made Paper.” Featured in the book are paper samples by May Babcock.

On the wall will be cyanotypes, Joomchi, paper weaving, marbling and hand made paper. The display case will have artist books - pieces of art using the idea of the book as inspiration. Cyanotype “The Kiss Redux” has been accepted to the National Open Juried Show at Tunxis Community College. The opening and award celebration is Sept. 9, 12-2.

August show at Rhynia Gallery in Northampton. This month’s theme is “Boxes” I have 2 pieces showing. One is a cyanotype on a box and the other is a weaving that looks like little boxes when the warp and the weft are woven together. Opening is August 11th 5:00 - 8:00pm.

Artistrree Gallery in Pomfret, VT is again hosting an exhibit of artist books. There will be” curious folios, recent Grimoires, tomes turned to sculpture and some works having a relations to books in concept only.” Closing celebration is July 15 5:30-7:30 I will be exhibiting 3 new works.
