This unique hand-sewn journal displays rosemary stems using a cyanotype technique. Cyanotype is a photographic printing process. The background is cyan blue color and the images are made using the sunlight. I used the rosemary plant to create the images. Front cover is also waxed to protect the image. The inside endpaper is a contrasting orange paper. Then the back cover is plain orange lLama Li paper and endpaper is blue. This book is sewn in the coptic stitch binding with blue linen thread. This sewing style allows the journal to open completely flat. Inside are 128 blank white pages of Strathmore drawing paper.
