This is the third in a series called The Book Lovers.  The wire mesh is dipped in flax paper pulp.  Copper wire is also embedded in the flax and emerges from the top as eyes in front of the curly hair.  The other figure has the straight hair and both are taken from Walt Whitman text.  It is mounted on a foam base that is covered with text from Jack in the Beanstalk.  Base is 3" square and the sculpture stands 10".
