I am always interested in doing commissioned work! Below are a few examples of pieces I have done in the past.

Wedding Gift

This commission was a wedding gift. The book itself contains Shakespeare Sonnets and the scrolls inside represents the couple's love, joy for music, physics, and education.

Graduation Gift

This commission was a graduation gift for a student moving from the University of Notre Dame to New York City. I worked with the client to pick out just the right photos for the inside and outside covers.

"I worked with Laurel when I needed a college graduation gift for my son's girlfriend. I wanted something unique and I knew that Laurel's journals were simply beautiful. We discussed a number of options on size and design, and decided it would be fun to use some pictures from both University of Notre Dame, where she was graduating, and New York City, where she was moving to live and work.

We both went to work finding fun pictures, and Laurel struck gold and found a vintage print of NYC maps. I was able to find a vintage print of Notre Dame through their web site, and thus we had what we needed for the outside and inside covers. Laurel's creative mind did not stop there as she found a way to include some text on the inside cover that included my son's girlfriend's name, her degree and a congratulatory note.

The end result was a one-of-a kind, beautifully crafted sewn journal that I know she will cherish and use. It was carefully wrapped and mailed to me and the turnaround time was perfect. I couldn't have been happier with the process, every step of the way, and will happily recommend Laurel to friends and family."

Guest Books

Guest books are a great way to personalize an event. The blue book was made for a Memorial Service and the artwork of the deceased was set into the cover.

The gold Chevron book was commissioned for a wedding guest book. The paper matched the couples' wedding pattern and the gold ribbons and paper inside made for a classy presentation.

This album was created for old and new photos and memorabilia that was pasted on the pages and put into pockets. An expanable pocket is on the back inside cover and several throughout the book.
