Closed Minds and Climate Change
Closed Minds and Climate Change
This artist book speaks to those with closed minds who do not want to work to save our planet. The wire mesh is dipped into paper pulp and as a book cover represents the climate deniers enclosed in a type of jail space. The artist book exhibited in 2019 in the library in Boston. There are 5 small pamphlets with collage and quotes on tea dyed paper. The paper makes them look old and falling apart. I used books or newspaper articles that would be found in a library. Topics are ghost forests with quotes from the NY Times, quotes by Bill Mckibben from “The End of Nature”, Greta Thunberg, Environmental Defense Fund and methane, and Sea Ice.
