This is a little square book that is both an artist book and also has blank pages as a diary. The front cover has tan lama li paper with bark set into the cavity along with a stick at the top. The back is covered with cork paper. It is sewn in the coptic stitch with matching linen thread. This sewing style enables the book to open completely flat. Inside end papers are covered with tree print paper. There is also a quote from Trees by Joyce Kilmer. “I think that I shall never see a poem lovely as a tree.” Continuing the theme, the front page has a design I made with walnut ink that looks like a plant. The pattern is also poked with a needle to give it some texture. The 96 text pages are light brown paper. SIZE is 4.25” square. It also has a white envelope cover included that I made to protect the book. Great gift for the environmentalist.
