The lantern is hand woven with 2 papers. One is a Japanese paper with squares and the other a hand made paper that is embedded with strings. The circular form is held together with a piano hinge using a thin stick. Windows are cut out of the papers to allow more light to come through. Colored tea light shows the purple and red colors.
