This hand-sewn journal is covered with a marbled paper that I bought in a small shop in Amalfi, Italy. The pattern of browns and yellow are made by mixing paint and ink in the vat. I sewed this book with yellow linen thread in the French link stitch. I left the spine uncovered so that you can see the patterns from the stitching. The blank pages are a variety of pastel Canson papers and opens flat. I tied the book shut with a striped cord. Size is 4" x 6".
