This hand-sewn journal has a special red batik Lotka paper on the covers. Lokta paper is an artisan paper made in Nepal. The batik design is is made by applying wax before the paper is dyed. This particular design is called Hemp Flower Red. I sewed the book in the coptic stitch with a matching thread. This sewing style allows the book to open completely flat. Inside covers pick up the beige color from the outside covers. 112 blank pages are ready for writing or drawing. Size is 4" x 5.5".
